What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum of five years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience, Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment, Highly specialized knowledge of a specific technology, 3+ years experience working with RDMS/SQL in a production setting, Experience with Perl or python in a UNIX environment is essential
Nice to Have
PhD preferred, Demonstrated, background in collecting and processing scientific data, preferably in the context of Drosophila research, working knowledge of java would be useful, collaborative skills and an familiarity in the model organism database community, interest in software development using open-source software resources in the production of reusable software components suitable for open distribution, Completion of Harvard IT Academy specified foundational courses (or external equivalent) preferred
