What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Several cycles of experience with in-person field programs, Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-state political or community organizing programs with budgets exceeding $1M, Several cycles of management experience, At least one cycle of managing managers, Track record of training and supporting organizers and field staff, Expertise in developing and running organizing-focused training sessions, Ability to coach organizers on a variety of outreach models, Proficiency in using Asana, Proficiency in using outreach tracking platforms, Deep commitment to non-transactional organizing and mobilizing disengaged communities in the Midwest and South
Nice to Have
Candidate candidates in Michigan or Ohio are a plus, Experience managing data staff or third party vendors preferred but not required
What You'll Do.
Support Program Director in daily operations
Act as primary point of contact for troubleshooting
Manage Data Engineer for list-cutting and turf selection
Manage recruitment process for Organizers and Captains
Facilitate hiring and onboarding process
Build culture of achievement through trust and accountability
Develop and deliver training modules and resources
Lead in-person and virtual training sessions
Lead measurement and learning workflows for program quality
Review recorded outreach
Analyze real-time performance data
Identify areas for improvement
Help leadership pivot to meet program goals

This is a primarily remote role, with travel to Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati likely. Candidate candidates in Michigan or Ohio are a plus. This is a temporary hire for the 2026 election cycle that will run through November 15, 2026. **Role Overview** Movement Labs is seeking a seasoned movement professional with a strong background in organizing to serve as the Senior Program Manager for our 2026 Neighborhood Captain Program. In this role you will lead the day-to-day management of a large (two - three states, four - five metro areas) field organizing program as part of a randomized controlled trial aimed at mobilizing tens of thousands of high potential voters through relationship building. This role bridges the gap between high-level strategy and field execution, ensuring that our data systems, people operations, and training programs work together to deliver an excellent program.
