Full Job Description
At Flipdish, we’re turning the tables in favour of independent restaurant and takeaway owners by offering them powerful, simple-to-use tech solutions backed by real human support. Everything we do is designed to make running a restaurant satisfyingly simple in a world that’s anything but. About the role You’ll join the Product Design team working on Flipdish’s core platform - the products independent restaurants use to run, grow, and optimise their business. You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to take work from discovery through to delivery, translating complex problems into simple, high-quality experiences. Success in this role looks like reducing friction in key workflows, raising the bar for craft and consistency across the product, and being a trusted partner who improves decision-making, clarity, and pace across teams. What you’ll own Own end-to-end design for key product areas, from discovery to release; partner with Product and Engineering to ship outcomes. Lead problem framing and solution exploration (user journeys, flows, prototypes); align stakeholders on the “why” and the trade-offs. Revitalise and improve the UI/UX of core client-facing surfaces (portals, forms, and workflow-heavy experiences). Improve and extend our design system; ensure patterns are consistent, accessible, and scalable across the product. Use customer insight and product data to validate assumptions, evaluate impact, and iterate quickly. Raise the bar through constructive critique, clear documentation, and high standards in craft and UX thinking. Challenge poor decisions and propose better ways of working. Constructive challenge is a responsibility - prioritising harmony over truth or progress is a failure of responsibility. What success looks like Key customer workflows become simpler and faster (reduced friction; clearer information architecture and interaction patterns). Design system adoption increases and UI consistency improves across teams and product surfaces.
