6+ years data center design, 6+ years industrial engineering, Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment, Experience researching new designs, Interpret electric code NEC, NFPA, UL891, UL508, UL1066, UL1558, ANSI C37, IEC codes
Nice to Have
Professional Engineering or Architectural License, Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production, Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

Senior Electrical Product Design Engineer – AWS Data Center Infrastructure Pioneer the future of global cloud infrastructure by designing next-generation electrical power distribution solutions that power millions of AWS customer experiences. You’ll join a world-class engineering team dedicated to delivering resilient, cost-effective electrical systems for our rapidly expanding data center network, directly shaping how the world accesses cloud technology. The Team Amazon Web Services’ Electrical Products and Services Engineering team drives innovation for the electrical systems that underpin our global data centers. We are a collaborative, high-impact group focused on achieving industry-leading uptime through cutting-edge design and continuous improvement. Your Impact Design & Develop: Create innovative low-voltage switchgear, power distribution cabinets, panel boards, and busduct products that meet the stringent demands of AWS’s global infrastructure. Lead Full-Cycle Projects: Own product development from concept to implementation, defining specifications and evaluating design changes to enhance reliability and cost efficiency. Collaborate Globally: Partner with manufacturers, suppliers, third-party testing labs, and engineering service providers to ensure compliance with international standards and deliver world-class quality. Drive Innovation: Solve complex technical challenges and propose solutions that advance the state of electrical distribution technology. Who You Are You hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with hands-on experience in designing electrical power distribution equipment. You have proven expertise in MV and LV switchgear, power distribution cabinets, panel boards, and busduct systems, and you’re skilled in applying the latest electrical codes and standards. You thrive in cross-functional environments, excelling at communicating technical direction to stakeholders and leading international projects. Y
