What They're Looking For.
Must Have
degree level in electrical engineering or similar disciplines or equivalent industry experience, at least 7 years or more professional experience in electrical engineering, designing automation systems and the management of projects / programs of increasing complexity, Significant domain knowledge and experience of naval or marine automation and control systems, experience in all stages of a project lifecycle and has been responsible for the delivery of one or more of those stages, Proven ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and to make balanced decisions in complex situations and with incomplete information
Nice to Have
Knowledge and experience of delivering systems complying with naval and marine standards, specifications and safety standards, Member of a Professional Engineering Body – Chartered Engineer or equivalent
What You'll Do.

Review and agree high level automation requirements including their testability
Analyse and translate high level requirements into a validated design for automation systems
Capture applicable design constraints and quality attributes that apply to the component
Interface between external and internal customers
to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements
Design and implement automation designs to meet the high-level requirements and design constraints/standards
Allocate automation requirements to test vehicles defined in the verification plan
Create an appropriate Enterprise Architecture solution which serves both business and technical needs
and maintains policies

Control and Monitoring Description (CMD)
Test Specifications and Operator/Maintenance Manuals

Clarification and Definition of communication interfaces between the Rolls-Royce Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) and 3rd party systems
