What They're Looking For.
Must Have
U. S. citizenship is required, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree, 10+ years of prior work experience in a related field, Experience in any of the following: architecture, design, modeling & simulation, and/or testing of electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) imaging systems, Knowledge of optics and/or focal planes, Proficient in requirements development and management, system design and integration, test plan and procedure development, verification and test, and data analysis, The ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required
Nice to Have
Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field, Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), EO/IR sensor modeling and simulation using tools such as Matlab and Cameo Systems Modeler, Technical leadership on projects, including development of cost and schedule estimates, risk management, and supplier technical management, Experience leading engineering development projects, including design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
What You'll Do.
Provide technical leadership for the development of airborne EO/IR sensor systems from architecture development through requirements verification and qualification
Transform customer needs into system level requirements
and work with all engineering functions to decompose and allocate system-level requirements to sub-systems and components with full traceability
Develop and refine CONOPS and System Architecture using Model-Based Systems Engineering methods
Execute modeling and simulation of system-level performance under operational conditions
Develop and execute integration
and flight test plans
Develop products and implement design changes in accordance with engineering processes
Perform Control Account Management duties for scope
