What They're Looking For.
Must Have
design and implementation of enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms, administer application servers, web servers and databases, deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation and application hosting technologies, experience working with software delivery teams, understanding DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, Infrastructure as Code, history of working with at least one IaaS cloud platform, history of working with two or more application runtime platforms including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless and databases, write scripts using at least one scripting language, comfortable building one or more of: Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters, experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools with different tech stacks, worked with monitoring systems for availability, performance or security, understanding of security concerns, threats and approaches for dealing with them, including infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security and software supply chain security
Nice to Have
experience with unit testing and automated testing tools, experience with stress and performance testing

shape and build Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice
ensure and build the controls and processes for continuous delivery and evolution of infrastructure and applications
drive automation through all stages of the process
take a proactive role in monitoring and ensuring that technical expectations of deliverables are consistently met on projects
provide expertise and guidance in the areas of DevOps
platform and infrastructure engineering
establish trusting and thoughtful partnerships with a client’s engineering leadership
adjust and suggest innovative solutions to current constraints and business policies

working within teams of people with diverse roles and levels of experience; collaboration with other practitioners, business development, marketing and capabilities development teams; partnering directly with infrastructure technicians, support and network analysts, security analysts, system administrators and/or IT managers; collaborating with senior IT groups in an advisory capacity; interacting with teammates from across the business
