6+ years of professional software engineering experience, Deep experience with Kubernetes, Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure), Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.), Solid understanding of networking, Solid understanding of security, Operational experience with PostgreSQL, Operational experience with Redis, Track record of shipping reliable, production-grade platform or infrastructure systems

Familiarity with authentication and identity systems (SSO, SAML, OIDC, RBAC), Experience with Replicated or similar embedded Kubernetes Installer platforms, Interest in AI/LLM-powered developer tools, Interest in open-source software, Contributed to OSS

Full Job Description
WHO WE ARE We’re building OpenHands, an open-source AI platform that empowers engineering teams to accelerate development, automate workflows, and integrate intelligent coding assistance into real-world software delivery. The Platform team is responsible for the infrastructure and systems that power OpenHands, including our self-hosted enterprise product. It's a small, senior team and you'll have real ownership over meaningful parts of the platform, working on hard problems in infrastructure, orchestration, and enterprise deployment. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Build and maintain our self-hosted deployment product: installation, configuration, and upgrades - Support customer POCs and self-hosted deployments, helping ensure successful rollouts in diverse environments - Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code and take features from design through to deployment - Own the Cloud infrastructure running our SaaS product - Debug complex cross-system issues and deliver sustainable fixes - Collaborate closely with teammates across Platform and the broader engineering team to execute on the platform roadmap - Contribute to infrastructure standards, observability, and reliability practices - Help grow a strong engineering culture through code review, documentation, and knowledge sharing WHAT YOU BRING - 6+ years of professional software engineering experience - Deep experience with Kubernetes and Helm; these are core to how we build and operate OpenHands - Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) - Solid understanding of networking, security, and operational experience with PostgreSQL and Redis - Familiarity with authentication and identity systems (SSO, SAML, OIDC, RBAC) is a plus - Experience with Replicated or similar embedded Kubernetes Installer platforms is a plus - Track record of shipping reliable, production-grade platform or infrastructure systems - Interest in AI/LLM-powered developer tools and open-s
