8+ Years of relevant IT experience, experience in security platform engineering, hands-on delivery and operational support of enterprise SIEM, detection, and security telemetry platforms, Proven experience in SIEM / platform transformation programs, migration or modernisation of legacy or incumbent platforms, experience with Splunk/Palo XSIAM in enterprise environments, platform operations, data onboarding, search, content support, transition planning for future-state platform outcomes, SRE capability, platform reliability, resilience, observability, service improvement, incident reduction, automation, operational excellence, DevSecOps experience, secure engineering practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, platform hardening, secrets management, embedded security controls across delivery pipelines, cloud proficiency across AWS and Azure, cloud-native services, IAM, logging, network telemetry, security integration patterns, Experience building and maintaining security data pipelines, ingestion, parsing, normalisation, enrichment, correlation, retention, data quality controls, scripting and automation experience using Python, platform integration through APIs, automation frameworks, reusable engineering patterns, experience supporting production platforms in complex enterprise environments, troubleshooting, high-severity incident support, root cause analysis, problem resolution, knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, modern platforms troubleshooting practices

Our Edge Security Technology squad builds, runs and enhances the edge security products and services that protect the CBA Group's internet facing websites, web applications, APIs and perimeter infrastructure from distributed denial of service, web application & API cyberattacks. **Impact & contribution: -**. The Senior Platform Engineer in Cyber will be reporting directly to an Engineering Chapter Lead working in our cyber engineering team to ensure the scalability, reliability and security of our platforms. **Roles & Responsibilities: -** * As an engineer, configure and support/migrate security platforms including **Splunk** , **Palo Alto XSOAR** and **Sentinel**. * Deliver security platform use cases across detection, response automation and operational security workflows. * Develop, tune and operationalise detection rules to improve alert quality and reduce false positives. * Build and maintain **SOAR playbooks** to automate response actions and red
