## Company: Marsh Risk ## ## Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our**Placement** team at **Marsh Risk** as the **Senior Placement Broker, Property** working in our **Sydney** office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. **Senior Placement Broker, Property** **We will count on you to:** * Lead strategic insurance placements end-to-end—develop go-to-market plans, prepare high-quality underwriting submissions, obtain and negotiate quotes, and bind accurate placement binders. * Manage client relationships as the primary adviser—gather risk information, present placement strategies, run renewal and strategy meetings, and deliver clear market engagement updates. * Coordinate with markets and underwriters—identify appropriate carriers, negotiate terms, and secure cost‑effective, fit-for-purpose coverage aligned to client objectives. * Provide practical risk advisory—assess exposures (including natural catastrophe), advise clients on market changes, and ensure programs meet evolving risk profiles. * Mentor and lead junior brokers—drive team performance, profitability, and continuous improvement. **What you need to have:** * 7–10 years’ commercial insurance or risk management experience, with proven placement and negotiation success in property insurance. * Deep technical knowledge of property coverages, policy forms, and catastrophe exposure assessment. * Strong client relationship, communication (written and verbal), and stakeholder management skills. * Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities; proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with analytics/risk systems. * Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management/Insurance, Business, Finance or related (Master’s and professional designations such as ARM, CPCU preferred). **What makes you stand out:** * Brokerage or underwriting background with demonstrable success in market coordination and innovative program design. * Es
