What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, 5–8 years’ experience in semiconductor product, test, or design engineering, Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Excel or JMP, Foundational understanding of semiconductor physics and analog/mixed-signal IC principles, analytical mindset, structured problem-solving ability, effective communication skills
Nice to Have
Master’s preferred, Exposure to DfT, DfM, and ATE methodologies advantageous, Awareness of ATE platforms (e. g. , Advantest, Teradyne) and bench test equipment beneficial, Understanding of semiconductor qualification standards (JEDEC, HTOL, ESD, Latch-up) beneficial, collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams, Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving technical requirements, Data-driven approach combined with sound engineering judgement, Proactive mindset with ownership and accountability, Interest in end-to-end product lifecycle ownership

Support NPI programs from concept through product release and manufacturing transfer

**Location:** Bristol, UK (St James Court B) **Hybrid Model:** 4 days in office (Monday – Thursday) ## Our Team: At Semtech, the New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Engineering team is the central force behind every product we bring to market. The team takes full ownership of new product development, guiding each program from concept through to high-volume manufacturing and end-of-life, with a focus on quality, precision, and execution. Working across Design, Test, Validation, Quality, Reliability, Applications, and Operations, our engineers define testability requirements, drive comprehensive characterisation across PVT, ensure robust ATE-to-bench correlation, optimise yield and test cost, and enable seamless transfer into production. As demand for high-performance optical and analog/mixed-signal IC solutions continues to grow, we are strengthening our NPI capability to ensure we consistently deliver best-in-class product performance, manufacturability, and customer value. ## Job Summary: We are seeking an NPI Product Engineer to support new product development from early concept through to production release. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to develop deep technical expertise across product engineering, characterisation, test strategy, yield optimisation, and manufacturing readiness. You will play a direct role in enabling successful product launches of advanced CMOS and BiCMOS semiconductor technologies.
