Full Job Description

## What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities) Design, implement, operate, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure to support availability, scalability, performance, and resilience. Implement and maintain network security controls aligned to federal security standards, Zero Trust architecture, and vendor best practices. Engineer secure network access controls, including 802.1X, role-based access, and identity-aware models. Manage routing, switching, virtual local area networks (VLANs), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and edge infrastructure. Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting with security information and event management (SIEM) and network detection and response tools. Lead or participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews. Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions. Serve as a senior technical advisor, coordinating with cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams. ## What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements) Eight years of experience in network engineering, including enterprise or federal network environments. Experience implementing Zero Trust network principles, segmentation, access control, and continuous monitoring. Experience with centralized logging, vulnerability management, hardening, and incident support. Experience with formal change control, documentation, compliance support, and operational continuity. Ability to meet federal screening and suitability requirements prior to start.
