What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5–7 years in network engineering, Solid knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN-VXLAN, hands-on with Juniper hardware, Experience using Ansible and Python for network changes and small-scale automation tasks, Expert at using Netbox, comfortable writing, improving and maintaining scripts, traffic monitoring tools like Kentik and Grafana, methodical in solving hardware and routing issues, from cable to config, Confident working in Linux environments for troubleshooting and scripting, Familiar with storage, virtualization, and cloud fundamentals, Fluent in English, ability to clearly explain technical issues to others, authorized to work in the United States

preferably in ISP or datacenter environments, JNCIP-SP, JNCIP-DC, or similar mid-level certifications

WHY YOUR ROLE MATTERS As a Senior Network Engineer at i3D.net http://i3D.net, you’ll be hands-on in building and supporting a global network infrastructure from our office in Atlanta, that spans both service provider backbone and high-performance datacenter environments. You’ll work with Juniper hardware, automation tools like Ansible, and smart monitoring platforms like Kentik to keep traffic flowing smoothly worldwide. You’ll be part of a 20-person team that values doing things right - automated, secure, and always evolving. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING - Implementation: Deploy and maintain network configurations using automation tools like Ansible and Netbox. - Operations: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across backbone and datacenter environments, from hardware to protocol layers. - Monitoring & Capacity: Use tools like Kentik to monitor traffic, identify bottlenecks, and assist in capacity planning. - Documentation: Keep network documentation and diagrams up to date for operational clarity and team alignment. - Security: Support DDoS mitigation and help enforce network security policies and practices. - Collaboration: Work closely with architects, product teams, and other engineers to support network projects and customer requirements. - Automation: Assist in automating network tasks and workflows to reduce manual effort and increase reliability. - Customer Support: Working in an on-call rotati
