What They're Looking For.
Must Have
4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, Experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and related routing/switching protocols in carrier and hosting environments, Knowledge of different OS IOS, IOS-XR, and NX-OS, Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, Knowledge of Arista data center switches, Knowledge of Juniper routers/firewalls, Proficiency with network management/monitoring tools (e.g. , SNMP, gNMI, RANCID, Elasticsearch, Selector AI), Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python preferred), Experience with version control systems (e.g. , GIT, API integrations, shell commands and directory structure), Familiarity with IDEs like Visual Studio Code or similar
Nice to Have
CCNP or JNCIS certification or equivalent experience preferred, Routinely uses version control and scripting to automate tasks and improve team velocity
