Must Have
High School Diploma or GED, 5+ years mortgage underwriting, Active Direct Endorsement (DE), Active CHUMS, Active VA LAPP, Certified SAR Underwriter
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree preferred, Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS) experience

Evaluate mortgage loan applications
Ensure loan meets agency requirements
Review loan files for compliance
Validate borrower income documentation
Validate borrower credit documentation
Validate borrower asset documentation
Validate title documentation
Validate fraud reports
Analyze loan files for credit worthiness
Prioritize and manage loan files
Work with loan officers
Work with other professionals
Review government appraisal
Research underwriting scenarios
Research underwriting guidelines
