Must Have

5+ years of experience in performance marketing, hands-on experience managing Native advertising campaigns, Proven track record scaling paid media campaigns profitably at meaningful spend levels (Native, Meta, Google, or similar), analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes of performance, separate signal from noise, and make confident, data-driven decisions, Proficiency in Excel, including working with large datasets and building reports, Deep understanding of affiliate marketing models, lead generation, and revenue-per-click or revenue-per-session monetization strategies, Demonstrated track record of proactively testing, iterating, and scaling campaigns—not just maintaining performance, Knowledge of performance metrics (e.g. , CPC, conversion rate, revenue per session) and how to optimize toward them, Demonstrated expertise in landing page optimization, including real-world testing examples that led to measurable improvements, Experience optimizing toward down-funnel quality metrics like lead-to-sale rate, client retention, or lifetime value, Ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities and act with urgency in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, sense of ownership and accountability for performance outcomes, Clear and effective communicator, able to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders, Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally

Who We're Looking For - Senior Media Buyer The Penny Hoarder is seeking a performance-driven media buyer to own and scale a core revenue channel. This role is responsible for owning revenue and gross margin performance of Native platforms, managing a multi-million-dollar budget, and driving continuous optimization across the full funnel, from ad creative to landing page experience to downstream monetization. While Native is the primary focus, we are open to candidates from other performance channels (Meta, Google, etc.) who have a proven track record of driving results and are motivated to expand into a full-funnel, performance-driven environment. This is a highly autonomous role with clear accountability for outcomes, requiring strong analytical thinking, speed in execution, and a bias toward action. We are open to remote candidates who are willing to work East Coast (EST) hours.
