### **Job Description** ## **Overview** CANDU Energy Inc./AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. is actively seeking qualified Senior Mechanical Machine CAD Designer to support engineering roles for nuclear projects in major areas, such as, new build in the province of Ontario, international new builds, refurbishment, and continuous plant operation support modifications for nuclear power plants. ## **Your role** This position requires working on fast paced technically complex projects in the nuclear industries. Typical duties and essential functions will include but not be limited to the preparation, design, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following: * Prepare electronic documents in AutoCAD, Microstation, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and other relevant CAD tools. * Create precise 3D models for design and visualization, using Model-Based Definition (MBD) to define all product specifications. * Follow client driven file management system for document storage. * Prepare engineering deliverables for both nuclear and conventional systems in accordance with AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc./Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements. * Apply relevant Codes & Standards and regulatory requirements and coordinate with design team to ensure compliance. * Interface with Engineering teams, throughout the lifecycle of the design project (i.e., from preliminary and conceptual engineering to detailed design, implementation and close-out) to provide practical and effective solutions as per requirements. * Must be “Team” oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with other and promote a positive work environment. ## **About you** * College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 9 years in mechanical design and drafting. * Individuals are expected to have advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD applications.
