BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of experience in hands-on mechanical design and product development, Robotics experience, Automation experience, Heavy equipment experience, Large machinery experience

Nice to Have

Designing and analyzing complex systems, Drive trains design, Gearboxes design, Linear motion design, Structural frames design, Fluid handling systems design, SolidWorks, PDM/PLM systems, SolidWorks PDM, Windchill, Duro, SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Material selection, Fabrication methods, Welding, Machining, Casting, Sheet metal, CNC machining, 3D printing, Industrial sensors, Controls, Basic electrical integration, Basic pneumatic integration, Rapid prototyping environment, Bridging the gap between R&D and Serial Production, Consistent documentation standards, Fluid/hydraulic systems design, Hardware for prolonged use in dusty, dirty, or harsh outdoor environments, Documenting technical data packages (TDP), Manufacturing scalability

Perform detailed engineering analyses

Evaluate thermal performance

Evaluate dynamic system behavior

Generate engineering documentation

Create detailed 2D drawings

Create Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Lead cross-functional design reviews

Select and qualify COTS components

Optimize designs for manufacturability

Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness

Collaborate with manufacturing teams

Collaborate with supply chain teams

Troubleshoot assembly issues

Implement design updates

Develop verification and validation plans

Execute verification and validation plans

Drive mitigation strategies

Support field deployment

Perform root cause analysis
