What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, 7 years’ experience
Nice to Have
Mechanical design of computer/network equipment, Experience in ECO, BOM and Deviation processes, Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo), Experience with Mechanica (PTC Creo Simulate), Experience with thermal simulation and air flow testing, Experience with liquid cooling systems, Familiarity with PDMLink (PTC Windchill), Hands-on experience with tests (shock, vibe, EMC etc.)
What You'll Do.
Explore solutions suggested by team members
Add new solutions that blend all requirements
Implement selected design using Creo 3D CAD
dimensions and 3D files
Schedule and manage design reviews
Participate in reviews of other designs
Structure bill of materials (BOM)
Release and change product using PLM tools
Provide 3D models for thermal simulations
Provide PCB design drawings and 3D files
Work with electrical engineer and PCB layout
Check final PCB design
Work with CMs and suppliers
Check prototypes against MCAD design
Debug design issues in lab
Communicate manufacturing issues to CM
Resolve production sustaining issues
