General Responsibility: The Sr. Mechanical Designer is a senior contributor within the engineering team, responsible for the mechanical layout, detailed design, and drafting of bulk material handling systems. This role supports projects across the full lifecycle—from bid and basic engineering through detailed design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning—with a strong emphasis on conveyor systems and associated equipment. The Mechanical Designer ensures that all deliverables are accurate, constructible, and aligned with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: * Execute mechanical design and drafting activities in accordance with sound engineering principles and established business practices * Develop detailed layouts, general arrangements, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings for bulk material handling systems, including belt conveyors, feeders, transfer stations, and related equipment * Translate engineering concepts, calculations, and design criteria into high-quality, constructible drawings * Ensure all design deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and internal procedures * Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and electrical/instrumentation engineers, as well as project teams, to resolve technical and interface challenges * Support internal design reviews, engineering checks, and constructability assessments * Incorporate supplier and vendor data into designs, ensuring alignment with project and equipment requirements * Sup
