Full Job Description
**Title:** Senior Material Engineer KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for Piping Stress Engineers to support the design and delivery of critical offshore oil & gas, LNG, and process platform projects worldwide. The role focuses on advanced detailed engineering activities for piping systems across WHP, fixed platforms, FPSO, and LNG facilities. We are seeking an experienced Piping Stress Engineer with strong capabilities in performing detailed stress analysis to ensure all potential loading conditions on piping systems are thoroughly evaluated and addressed within the design framework. The role requires detailed engineering expertise, interdisciplinary coordination, and the use of industry-standard tools to ensure piping systems comply with safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: * Perform piping stress analysis and flexibility calculations under various operating and load conditions * Provide inputs to plant layout and coordinate load data with other disciplines * Develop piping mechanical specifications and carry out special engineering studies * Prepare calculations, drawings, and datasheets for special piping (SP) items * Develop requisition documentation for SP items and pipe supports * Design and develop pipe support systems, including support locations and drawings * Perform advanced analysis such as fatigue, blast, and FPSO structural considerations (hog and sag) * Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and project specifications * Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for effective engineering execution * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Qualifications: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * 4 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 6-10 years.
