What You'll Achieve.
ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of commodities; driving performance in safety, productivity, cost management, and customer experience; ensuring our facility consistently remains in full compliance with all regulations; ensuring the facility is maximizing profitability and minimizing shrink
Industry & Context.
Must be able to stand for an extended period of time, Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds, Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet, Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures, Working conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces, May require extended hours and on-call support to support the 24/7 operation
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree required, 7-10 years’ relevant experience required, Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, Capital project exposure and leadership required
Nice to Have
Master's Degree preferred, Experience in terminal or grain export operations preferred, Familiarity with rail and barge logistics preferred
What You'll Do.
Lead daily port terminal operations
and compliant handling of commodities
Oversee daily operations
Drive performance in safety
Lead facility safety programs
Establish and execute feed ingredient rail unloading
Establish and maintain relationships with Port and Coast Guard
Establish and maintain relationships with third party resources
Establish and drive daily operational goals
Collaborate on budgetary and capital plans
Project and develop strategic capital plan
Ensure facility maintenance is planned
Monitor and track logistics
Drive continuous training and development
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate on budgetary and capital plans through a team approach; Provides leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff; Accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units; Develop departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities; Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
Communication Scope
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; clear and consistent communications
Process & Methodology
Capital project exposure and leadership required, Project and develop a strategic 3 – 5 year capital plan for facility
