What You'll Do.
Provide legal support to Agency Finance

Engage and oversee outside legal counsel

Senior Manager, Senior Counsel - Commercial Real Estate: Agency Finance (Hybrid) Capital One’s Legal Department is seeking an experienced commercial real estate finance attorney to support its growing Commercial Bank. This is a great opportunity to join an outstanding team at a Fortune 100 Company that is consistently voted one of the best places to work in the U.S. You will be one of the critical and primary subject matter experts supporting our multibillion-dollar Commercial Real Estate (CRE) business, a segment within the Commercial Bank that provides permanent and construction financing for a broad range of project types, including multifamily housing, industrial facilities, and retail, as well as financing for REITS, real estate funds, and bridge lending. Within the CRE segment, you will provide legal counsel to the Multifamily Agency Finance business (Agency Finance), spanning Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/HUD production, asset management, and servicing. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide-range of innovative and sophisticated transactions and projects with an exceptional group of legal and business professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment that values your insights. **Responsibilities Include:** * Providing legal support to Agency Finance as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the transaction teams and other internal partners * Partnering with Agency Finance business partners, Risk and Compliance to evaluate GSE and/or FHA program requirements and develop policies and procedures for compliance, monitoring and reporting * Tracking and managing negotiation of sub-servicing documentation in connection with Freddie Mac securitizations and assist with interpretation of sub-servicing obligations for existing securitizations from an asset management and servicing perspective * Engaging and overseeing outside legal counsel in an effective and efficient manner * Partnering collaboratively with other internal counsel and business te
