Must Have

7+ years of experience in product design, portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of shipped work, Proven ability to operate at a senior individual contributor level, leading complex projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, Deep expertise in UX and interaction design, experience simplifying complex systems into clear, intuitive experiences, product thinking and decision-making skills, ability to evaluate tradeoffs and connect design work to user and business impact, Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and research to deliver impactful product outcomes, Excellent communication and storytelling skills, ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment, Experience mentoring or supporting the growth of other designers through feedback, critique, or formal leadership, Exposure to people management or a clear interest in transitioning into a player–coach role, commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks

WHOOP is hiring a Senior Manager, Product Design to lead high-impact product design work while helping shape and grow the design organization. This role will begin as a senior individual contributor, owning critical product initiatives and driving exceptional user experiences across complex systems, including AI-powered capabilities. Over time, this role will evolve into a player–coach position, supporting and developing designers while maintaining a strong connection to hands-on design execution.   ## RESPONSIBILITIES Own and drive design work across a product area or set of initiatives, leading projects from problem framing through execution and delivery Apply strong UX judgment to complex problem spaces, structuring ambiguity and making clear, principled decisions about flows, tradeoffs, and overall experience Translate complex systems, including AI-driven capabilities, into scalable interaction patterns, workflows, and intuitive user experiences Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to deliver high-impact projects from concept through launch Work across teams and stakeholders to clearly communicate, advocate for, and align on design decisions and direction Contribute directly to design execution, with a focus on interaction design and overall experience quality, while maintaining a high bar for visual polish Provide structured, actionable feedback through critiques and day-to-day collaboration, and transition into managing and mentoring designers over time ## QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of shipped work Proven ability to operate at a senior individual contributor level, leading complex projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
