What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, energy, marine, or multinational environments, experience managing indirect procurement categories such as logistics, services, consumables, facilities, and operational support services, Proven experience managing regional procurement operations across APAC markets, leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams within a matrix organization, Proven experience in: Strategic sourcing and category management, Proven experience in: Supplier negotiation and contract management, Proven experience in: Procurement governance and compliance, Proven experience in: Cost optimization and procurement transformation initiatives, Proven experience in: Stakeholder management across regional and global environments, Excellent commercial acumen with hands-on experience leading complex negotiations and supplier agreements, analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze complex data, derive insights, and make strategic decisions, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and cultures, Proactive, solution-oriented, and commercially driven mindset, Experience working within international corporate and matrix environments, Fluency in English is required
Nice to Have
Experience working across multiple countries and cultures within APAC is highly advantageous, Experience gained in industries such as power generation, energy systems, heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing, marine, engineering services, or other asset-intensive environments will be highly advantageous, Additional language capability in Chinese, Malay, or German will be advantageous, MCIPS certification or equivalent procurement qualification will be advantageous

Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team

Establish procurement governance
Support procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage indirect procurement categories
Lead strategic sourcing activities
Develop sourcing and category strategies
Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships
Lead complex commercial negotiations
and manage supplier contracts
Monitor supplier performance
Drive supplier accountability against KPIs
Support escalation management and resolution
Monitor and analyze market trends
Provide procurement insights and recommendations
Collaborate closely with global procurement teams
Support sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives
Partner closely with regional and global stakeholders
Act as the key procurement advisor
Ensure procurement involvement in budgeting
Collaborate with business units to understand requirements
Support stakeholders in supplier selection
Lead contract lifecycle management activities
Ensure supplier contracts comply with governance
Identify procurement and supply risks
Ensure compliance with corporate policies
Support audit activities
Ensure business continuity planning
Drive procurement process standardization
Improve procurement efficiency through automation
Support procurement system optimization initiatives
Monitor procurement spends
Promote continuous improvement culture
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner closely with regional and global stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Facilities teams; Act as the key procurement advisor to internal business functions across APAC; Ensure procurement involvement in budgeting, demand planning, project execution, and operational initiatives; Collaborate with business units to understand operational requirements and deliver procurement solutions aligned to business objectives; Collaborate closely with global procurement teams and contribute to group-wide sourcing initiatives and procurement programs
Communication Scope
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and cultures
