Must Have
Life sciences Graduate or above/Lawyer/CA with previous experience in a Compliance Role of a multinational Healthcare Company (pharmaceuticals preferred), minimum of 10 years of related professional experience including some pharmaceutical or health care compliance program experience as either a member of a multinational compliance team, consultant, or outside counsel, Demonstrated understanding of Indian compliance landscape, relevant laws, industry codes and practices, Working knowledge of Data Privacy management including DPDP and implementation practices of required controls, Demonstrated problem-solving skills, Stakeholder Collaboration & communication skills, Analytical skills including proficiency excel, PBI, working knowledge of SAP, communication skills
Nice to Have
experience and inclination towards data analytics and use of AI, Team Management experience is not mandatory. Can be an individual contributor., Evidence of leading by example and no matter what level, ideally experience of working in a highly matrixed organization.
What You'll Do.
provide advice and counsel on matters of compliance and ethical business practices
drive deployment of complex elements of Abbott’s compliance program for EPD division for India
Work quickly to understand Abbott business structures
Compliance policies and procedures to provide policy and documentation advice
Act as a trusted advisor by aligning with business objectives while balancing risk
delivering operational guidance for routine activities in line with Abbott policy requirements
and building capability to transition toward a more strategic advisory role
Collaborate and consult with cross functional teams to ensure the successful integration and implementation of compliance and ethics policies and procedures
Conduct compliance risk assessment to identify potential risk areas and drive implementation of appropriate risk management programs
Work closely with compliance counterparts to establish consistent compliance practices across affiliates
Development and implementation of compliance monitoring plan
identifying compliance risk areas and action plans to address risk
Own and drive data analytics to gain and drive actionable insights as well as incorporating data analytics into compliance monitoring
Conducting training for new joiners as well as customized training for groups based on Compliance requirements
Contribute to Quarterly Compliance meetings with the senior leadership with dash boards for appropriate report outs
Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations (e. g.
local healthcare laws
patient privacy regulations
anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws
Conduct periodic reviews and updates related to complex OEC policy and divisional/affiliate procedures ensuring clarity
applicability and compliance to OEC policy and external requirements
Managing Corporate Audit and external audit requirements
Work closely with cross functional teams like Global Privacy office
IT review of compliance with and implementation of required controls for compliance with data privacy and DPDP related requirements
Central point of contact to maintain records of all data processing activities of the company
Understanding of dealing with Data subject requests
Ability to devise training plans and conduct Data Privacy training and craft communications around the data privacy related elements
