SeniorManager/Manager,Underwriting

**Position Responsibilities:** * Manage and monitor daily operations to ensure satisfactory services are delivered within turnaround time * Underwrite large amount and complex application and review suggest cases * Be the first port of call to resolve appeals and complaints * Ensure underwriting standards as per Audit Guidelines while meeting pricing assumptions of mortality and morbidity * Polish and enhance underwriting rules and guidelines to ensure both are reasonable and practical and in line with market practices * Keep track of competitors’ practices, provide recommendations and business cases to enable enhancement of existing guidelines * Streamline and enhance workflow and processes to ensure operational efficiency * Participate in product development and lead implementation from Underwriting * Conduct and arrange training to underwriters * Lead projects when required **Required Qualifications:** * Degree or equivalent business qualifications * LOMA qualification preferred * Over 12 years of relevant experience in life underwriting with at least 5 years in supervisory level * Excellent underwriting competency * Excellent leadership and team building skills * Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills * Strong analytical mind and problem solving skills, with innovation and a customer-care focus * PC literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing _**When you join our team:**_ * We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. * We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. * As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. **About Manulife and John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
