Employee focused. ** **JOB SUMMARY** **Job Profile Summary** Lead, manage and cultivate the natural gas pipelines financial reporting team including developing processes to meet the financial reporting requirements of the group. Responsible for overseeing the natural gas pipelines financial reporting group for a variety of processes and deliverables, including management reporting, SEC reporting, and various stand-alone reporting requirements. Assist with setting priorities and goals for the team that supports the strategic plan and direction of the accounting team including integration activities, technology adoption, and optimizing processes to drive reporting efficiencies. Ensure proper reviews are in place and in compliance with SOX. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities** * Plan, organize, and manage monthly processes and financial activities. Supervise employees engaged in those activities. * Analyze accounting policies, procedures, and corresponding controls to ensure financial statements and/or reports are reliable and in compliance with governmental regulations. * Monitor and maintain accounting and financial reporting systems and relevant computer applications. Research, evaluate, and propose system changes and/or development of new accounting systems to expedite accounting processes. * Participate in development of new activity with applicable groups. Understand and communicate impact and downstream impacts to other accounting personnel such as Budgeting and Forecasting, and other groups within the Company. * Provide information and assistance to management, employees, regulatory agencies, auditors, vendors, and others relative to accounting processes, reports, invoices, forecasts, policies, procedures, etc * Prepare, verify, and/or approve information and reports including but not
