Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization, US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location, Knowledge of litigation discovery process, Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow, Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods, Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform, At least five years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis
Nice to Have
Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications, Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote, Undergraduate degree preferably in computer science or related field, Expert-level knowledge and skill in using Relativity/Relativity One, LAW, and Concordance, Everlaw experience, verbal and written communication skills, Willing to work on a flexible or dead-line driven schedule including occasional evenings and weekends
What You'll Do.
Provides oversight functions for Data Specialists performing file manipulation
and productions and quality checks of loads and exports
evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications
Performs quality assurance of all EFP services
Ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found
provides EFP Manager with detailed notice of deficiencies
Manage and execute all aspects of eDiscovery data processing and data loading
Manage and execute productions from start to finish
Communicate directly with legal teams by advising them of errors and issues pertaining to the data sets and recommending fixes as appropriate
Assist junior team members by providing guidance
Perform assigned QC and QA tasks
Track and update stats and statuses for all work in the tracking program
Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting

Full Job Description
The Senior Data Specialist position is a senior level position operating under the direction of more senior Contractor IT staff. Provides oversight functions for Data Specialists performing file manipulation, loading, conversion services, exports, and productions and quality checks of loads and exports. Develops, evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications. Performs quality assurance of all EFP services. Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides EFP Manager with detailed notice of deficiencies. The Senior Data Specialist will * Manage and execute all aspects of eDiscovery data processing and data loading. This includes processing of raw data and loading of load-ready data sets. * Manage and execute productions from start to finish including discussion of production protocols with case team at start of production process and related questions about the production. * Communicate directly with legal teams by advising them of errors and issues pertaining to the data sets and recommending fixes as appropriate. * Assist junior team members by providing guidance, instruction, and troubleshooting. * Perform assigned QC and QA tasks. * Participate in teleconferences with producing parties when technical issues need to be discussed and clarified. * Track and update stats and statuses for all work in the tracking program. * Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting. * This is a full-time position (40 hours a week). * This is currently a HYBRID work position located at a secured facility in Washington, DC.
