What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering, Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, Familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.), Licensed as a (PE) Professional Engineer

structural design for new structures
existing structural upgrades
perform investigations
make expert recommendations to clients
structural engineering
supervising modeling and drawing production
detailed engineering phase for multi-discipline projects
lead a team of engineers and designers
develop and design the structural portion of projects
make design recommendations and decisions
oversee the completion and quality of construction drawings
and other project documentation
manage the production effort of staff assigned to the project in terms of quality
overseeing the work throughout various project stages – from conceptual
and detailed design through construction
design of structural systems and components for a variety of industrial facility
ensure designs conform to AFRY quality standards
recognized codes as well as client requirements
direct participation in planning
working closely with mechanical
and civil disciplines
leading and mentoring subordinate staff
visits to project sites to develop client relationships
and observe construction progress
