What They're Looking For.

Must Have

5+ years of experience as a Level Designer, Deep understanding of core level design principles: flow, pacing, sightlines, player navigation, and encounter staging, Expertise with modern level design toolsets (e. g. Unreal Engine 5), spatial thinking, with the ability to translate gameplay goals into effective 3D layouts, Solid grasp of combat dynamics, arena design, and player motivation in high-pressure environments, Familiarity with best practices in visual language, traversal readability, and combat readability, Ability to iterate quickly, balancing player challenge, exploration, and reward pacing, Excellent communication and collaboration skills — especially when working across disciplines, Experienced in mentoring junior designers and contributing to level design guidelines and documentation

Nice to Have

at least one shipped FPS or action title

What You'll Do.

Take ownership of level design from initial concept to final implementation

ensuring a smooth and engaging player experience aligned with the core gameplay vision

and iterate high-quality level layouts tailored for FPS / action gameplay

Craft layouts that support intense combat encounters

and player agency in fast-paced environments

Implement player guidance systems to ensure intuitive navigation even during chaotic action sequences

and verticality to create strategic opportunities and diverse tactical options for players

line of sight control

and funneling techniques to enhance gameplay rhythm and technical performance

Place and tune gameplay elements such as AI

and interactive set-pieces

Iterate based on frequent playtesting and telemetry to refine pacing
