What They're Looking For.
Must Have
ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design firm environment, Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, Proven experience designing and leading projects involving building or industrial power systems and voltage‑based electrical infrastructure
Nice to Have
Experience in GMP manufacturing environments, including life sciences or food & beverage facilities, working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable building codes, Hands‑on experience with: Low‑ and medium‑voltage systems, Power distribution, lighting, and special systems, Short‑circuit, coordination, load flow, and arc flash studies, troubleshooting skills for electrical power and system performance issues

Lead electrical design for complex projects across all phases
including programming
construction documentation
and construction support
Design and coordinate low‑ and medium‑voltage power distribution systems
and protective devices
Perform advanced power system calculations
including load studies
short‑circuit analysis
and arc flash evaluations
Develop electrical construction drawings and specifications that are fully code‑compliant and construction‑ready
Identify and resolve complex existing conditions through site visits and field surveys
Direct and coordinate the work of electrical engineers and designers at various experience levels
Collaborate with project managers on scope definition
and electrical discipline budgets
Work closely with architectural
and construction teams to ensure integrated design solutions
Coordinate with contractors
and equipment manufacturers to support design and installation of electrical systems
Provide technical leadership during construction
including RFI responses
and punch list development
Perform detailed quality reviews of electrical documents
and designs to ensure technical accuracy and overall project quality
Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level electrical engineers and designers
Promote best practices
and continuous improvement within the electrical team
