Sounds awesome, right? Now, let’s make sure you’re a good fit for the role: Must-have Skills Strong expertise in Kafka (preferably w/ Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect). Experience with at least one of TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, or Java. Hands-on experience in managing Kafka infrastructure (not limited to AWS MSK). Proficiency in debugging, upgrades, and resolving Kafka broker issues. Solid understanding of Kafka configuration and scalability best practices. Desirable familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Airflow. Experience implementing monitoring and maintenance strategies for Kafka infrastructure. Experience integrating Kafka with other platforms and systems. Nice-to-have: AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows. Experience in cloud environments such as AWS. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deploying and maintaining Kafka services. Knowledge of security best practices for Kafka.
