Responsibilities of the role include searching and proposing solutions using new technologies as well as managing risks through secure coding practices. **Key Responsibilities** * Technical ownership of mission critical systems of ING, this includes design, change, security and risk management for a given system * Technical leadership is also a key responsibility of the position. There is a need for this position to be able to spearhead changes in the team, this includes creating better ways of working as well as creating tools and systems that will benefit the team * Stakeholder management is another responsibility of the engineer. As the technical leader, there is an expectation to be able to balance both the delivery of new features as well as the stability and risk of the whole team’s technical infrastructure * Individual contribution towards writing code and tests for the system are also required **Key Capabilities/Experience** * Candidate must be comfortable with spearh
