What They're Looking For.
Must Have
At least 3 years in enterprise IT infrastructure, compute platforms, or cloud operations, on‑prem and cloud operations, hands‑on with VMware, Windows Server, and ideally Linux, AWS/Azure operations including governance and security, SAN/NAS backup systems, patching tools (WSUS, LANDesk), server hardware (HPE), Experience working in complex IT environment with manufacturing plants, working closely with IT customers and service providers, Basic experience with Cybersecurity requirements
Nice to Have
Certification is a plus: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Azure/AWS Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent experience
What You'll Do.
virtualization layer and cloud infrastructure services
Ensuring compliance with internal and contributing to modernization
cost optimization and transformation initiatives
Provide advanced support for Windows and Linux servers (physical and virtual via VMware ESXi)
Consult customers on the optimal hardware setup and execute or coordinate implementation
Contribute to secure cloud architectures
standardization and harmonization of platforms
Automate security controls and configuration management
Develop and maintain runbooks and automated workflows
Perform critical installations or upgrades in collaboration with L2/L3 service partners
Occasional work on incident
and change management processes according to defined SLAs and compliance requirements
Contribute to cloud migration
automation and modernization projects
Evaluate technologies and market trends for service in closer scope
TCO assessments and carve‑out/M&A scenarios
Maintain technical documentation
monitor performance and capacity
Support global plants/offices
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners; Coordinate implementation taking into account strategic, financial and customer targets; Perform critical installations or upgrades in collaboration with L2/L3 service partners; Coordinate closely with internal customers (plants, competence centers, business units) to execute their requirements in collaboration with Infrastructure, Engineering and Applications teams
