ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a Senior iOS/Android Software Engineer to join our product-focused team and help scale our core mobile app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to create engaging experiences and leverage multiple datasets to drive clear objectives. This role offers meaningful impact through pragmatic problem solving and cross-functional collaboration. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, implement, and maintain the mobile app for iOS and Android platforms - Build and assist platform capabilities - Pragmatically solve problems and contribute to technical solutions - Contribute to product design and direction - Effectively communicate and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2+ years of experience in mobile engineering (iOS and/or Android) - Strong Kotlin expertise for Android development with Jetpack Compose and modern app architecture (MVVM/Clean Architecture) - Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC - Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing mobile applications - Experience integrating Firebase services in mobile apps (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging) - Direct experience developing consumer products (not solely B2B) - Clear ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Mentorship or technical leadership experience to guide junior engineers - Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit, instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
