What They're Looking For.
Must Have
University degree in Electrical Engineering, P. Eng. (PEO) registration in Ontario (or eligibility for registration), Relevant experience in power generation/utility electrical design, Demonstrated experience delivering BoP electrical packages for MV/HV systems, Working knowledge of applicable North American codes/standards (e. g. , CSA, IEEE, ANSI) and utility practices, Proficiency with ETAP (or equivalent), Microsoft AutoCAD/Revit experience, Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Nice to Have
hydropower experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Lead and deliver conceptual and detailed design for BoP electrical systems
Develop station service AC and DC power distribution designs
Design grounding systems
Prepare and/or review key electrical drawings
Prepare and/or review technical specifications
Perform and/or coordinate power system studies
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Mentor junior engineers/designers
