What They're Looking For.

Must Have

2-3 years of overall Cyber Security and controls experience, 5 years of consulting and program experience within a security operation or analysis function, Understanding of how to leverage security operations or analysis for enterprise defense

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) activity, CISSP certification, CEH certification, Familiarity with Qualys EASM, Familiarity with Microsoft's Security Exposure Management, Familiarity with SafeBreach or similar BAS/CART tools

What You'll Do.

Building emerging Cyber Threat Exposure Preparedness and Cyber Range programs

Developing and delivering preparedness exercises

executing and recommending improvements to CIBC’s overall security and control environments for high risk applications and services

Improving and maturing the cyber preparedness exercises and cyber range program

Coordinating with security assessment

response and intelligence teams to propose

plan and coordinate preparedness exercises

Owning and managing the tabletop exercise function from beginning to end

Practicing and improving CIBC's response to real world threats

Driving continuous improvement by engaging security teams with table top exercises and other assessment activities

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Working closely with Offensive Security team members; Collaborating with partners in Cyber Threat Exposure Management, Cyber Security Operations as well as threat intelligence, and many other lines of business; Interfacing and collaborating with internal and external teams; Engaging security teams from red teaming, incident response, threat hunting, and many other lines of business

Communication Scope

Ability to explain the importance and benefits of good security practices; Communicate technical and cyber security concepts in an impactful way; Convey why details matter

Process & Methodology

Program experience within a security operation or analysis function, Exercise planning and delivery, Remediation handoff

You will continue building an emerging Cyber Threat Exposure Preparedness and Cyber Range programs within the bank and help our partner lines of business achieve real security effectiveness. As a Preparedness specialist you will be working closely with your Offensive Security team members as well as partners in Cyber Threat Exposure Management, Cyber Security Operations as well as threat intelligence, and many other lines of business to develop and deliver preparedness exercises from a variety inputs.
