What They're Looking For.

Must Have

5–10+ years of industrial engineering experience in warehouse, logistics, or 3PL environments, Hands-on experience designing warehouse layouts, staffing models, and process flows, understanding of warehouse operations (inbound, outbound, storage, fulfillment), Experience with labor modeling, productivity drivers, and equipment selection, Ability to translate real-world systems into structured logic and models, Familiarity with spreadsheet-driven modeling approaches, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or a related field, Proven experience working as a Solutions Engineer or Industrial Engineer within large-scale 3PL, logistics, or supply chain organizations (senior-level experience preferred), understanding of warehouse design, operational workflows, and end-to-end solutioning in logistics environments, Ability to translate operational requirements into structured models and scalable design frameworks

Nice to Have

Exposure to analytical tools (SQL, Python, neo4j), Experience in consulting, solution design, or operational engineering environments, Experience with simulation tools (AnyLogic, FlexSim, Simio, Arena, etc. ), Exposure to automation technologies (AS/RS, robotics, conveyors), Experience working with optimization or decision-support models, Prior involvement in building tools, frameworks, or reusable design methodologies

Design end-to-end warehouse and logistics systems

Break down workflows into structured components

Translate ambiguous requirements into model-ready definitions

Convert operational know-how into structured frameworks

Define and refine process assumptions

Create reusable representations of system components

Work with product and engineering teams

Define how trade-offs are represented

Support development of systems

Validate system outputs against real-world feasibility

Identify gaps between models and execution

Continuously refine system logic
