What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 10 years software engineering experience, At least 4 years engineering leadership role, Hands-on engineering approach, 7+ years hands-on Java 17+ experience, Proven track record leading multinational engineering teams, Demonstrated ability to build distributed engineering teams, API design and development experience, Experience using Claude AI or other LLM tooling, Experience operating in Agile environments, Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS, Java and Spring Boot coding test
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Experience building or operating PaaS, Background in logistics, shipping, supply chain, Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Familiarity with carrier APIs, EDI standards
What You'll Do.
Lead full-lifecycle rebuilding of global logistics eCommerce
Migrate from legacy PHP monolith
Build modular Java 24/Spring Boot 3 system
Use containerized microservices architecture
Architect and deliver PaaS carrier integration platform
Expose standardized REST APIs
Build pluggable Java/Spring Boot integration framework
Translate heterogeneous carrier protocols
Secure APIs via OAuth 2.0 and JWT
Document APIs with OpenAPI specifications
Collaborate with Technology leadership
Collaborate with Commercial leadership
Collaborate with Operations leadership
and inspire multinational engineering team
Build culture of ownership
Build culture of accountability
Build culture of continuous improvement
Champion AI-augmented engineering
Embed AI tools into SDLC
Define and own technical roadmap
Align engineering delivery with business strategy
Establish engineering excellence standards
