What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a full-stack track record, Production experience with PHP, Solid experience with Node. js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript, Working knowledge of React for web, Experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), Track record of owning features end-to-end on a small team, including scoping, building, shipping, and supporting in production, Result-oriented and proactive, comfortable working with autonomy

Experience leading or contributing to a large-scale codebase migration (PHP to Node/React or similar), REST API design and third-party integrations (payments, mapping, routing, scheduling), Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or similar), Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategy, and DevOps practices

The platform is mid-migration from a mature PHP codebase to a modern Node.js and React stack, with a React Native mobile app already in production. You'll work across both sides of that transition: shipping features in the legacy codebase while helping architect and build the system that replaces it. This is not a greenfield rewrite, it's a thoughtful migration done in flight, and you'll help shape how it gets done.
