Must Have
Extensive experience in developing backend applications in Python or Rust, Experience writing and maintaining automated unit and system tests, Proven ability to design and implement authentication/authorization across distributed systems, practical knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (flows, tokens, scopes, claims, refresh patterns, security pitfalls), Hands-on experience with an IAM such as Keycloak in real deployments (realms/clients, brokering, mappers, RBAC, operational hardening), Linux engineering skills: System administration and troubleshooting, systemd/services, packaging, logs, security baselines, Solid networking fundamentals relevant to modern platforms: TCP/IP basics, TLS, certificates, reverse proxies, DNS, routing, ability to debug production connectivity issues, Experience with running applications in container environments, ideally Kubernetes, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
Experience in implementing CI pipelines, Experience with service-to-service security patterns (mTLS, JWT validation, token exchange, policy enforcement), Experience with Kubernetes networking/security primitives (Ingress/Gateway APIs, NetworkPolicies, CNI service mesh is a plus), Familiarity with healthcare technology solutions, Experience with cloud platforms and services and hybrid/on-prem deployments
