What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field., 5+ years of total professional experience, 3+ years in cloud financial management, FinOps, cloud operations, cloud governance, or a related discipline., Azure certification such as AZ-900 and/or AZ-104, or comparable practical experience., Equivalent AWS/GCP certifications.
Nice to Have
FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP)., FinOps Certified FOCUS Analyst or familiarity with FOCUS-based cost and usage data concepts., Exposure to AWS and/or GCP cost management concepts., Experience in presenting FinOps outcomes to leadership and influencing decision-making through business-focused insights.

Leading FinOps practices across cloud spend visibility
commitment management
Helping IFS adopt AI-enabled FinOps capabilities
and modern reporting standards.
Owning and improving FinOps practices for Azure
including cost visibility
Monitoring cloud spend
and recommending corrective actions.
Driving cost optimization through Reserved Instances
and other commercial levers.
Establishing and maintaining FinOps governance
Improving cost data quality
and reporting across cloud services.
Delivering clear financial and operational insights to stakeholders
including leadership.
Automating FinOps reporting
and workflows using scripting and platform tools.
Working on AI-powered FinOps automation solutions for repetitive activities such as budget monitoring
and optimization tracking.
Helping govern AI-related cloud spend through visibility
and efficiency tracking.

Partnering with engineering, operations, and architecture teams to design cost-efficient, scalable solutions.; Working with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, operations, finance, and business stakeholders.; Mentoring/guiding other team members and promoting FinOps best practices across teams.; Engaging with colleagues to share ideas and build meaningful relationships.
