What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, 4-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, Proficiency in Python, Proficiency in SQL, Proficiency in BI tools, Proficiency in Google Data Products, Experience with relational databases like Google Big Query, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, or MySQL/RDBMS, Experience writing optimized queries, Experience with Google BigQuery, Experience with AWS S3, Experience with AWS Glue, Experience with AWS Athena, Experience with AWS Redshift, Ability to interpret cloud cost and usage data and trends to make informed recommendations, Experience with financial reporting and analysis, Ability to tell stories with data, Ability to shed light on complex technical issues to non-technical audiences, Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and suppliers, Familiarity with Agile project approaches (Scrum/ Kanban), Familiarity with tools such as Jira
Nice to Have
Certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Certifications in BI Tools, Certifications in FinOps, Certifications in Cloud Finance, Experience with Tableau, Experience with cloud cost management tools, approaches and platforms
What You'll Do.
Preparing and delivering complex data products and analysis based on Cloud Service usage
Preparation of ad hoc reports and insights
development and ongoing maintenance of high quality “always on” reporting/ decision support capabilities
Own a functional area within the team
Provide leadership and coaching to more junior team members
Design reports in PowerBI and other platforms
Design analytical data sets
Present and maintain reports to meet ongoing business needs
Work with internal Engineering
Finance and Product teams to ensure FinOps data products meet stakeholder needs
Make sure FinOps’ data needs are prioritized and delivered in a timely fashion
Document and maintain Anaplan FinOps data products including data sets
Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets and forecasts for cloud services
Track performance against budget with actuals
Perform regular reviews with stakeholders to ensure financial
business and capacity goals are met
Develop and maintain data models as needed to support business requirements
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with stakeholders to design reports; Work with internal Engineering, Finance and Product teams; Work with internal Engineering, IT and Product teams; Work closely within the FinOps team, Finance, Engineering, AoA; Collaborate with data scientists/ analysts, and other stakeholders; Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and suppliers

Your Impact The Senior FinOps Data Analyst will be responsible for preparing and delivering complex data products and analysis based on Cloud Service usage, cost, and revenue data as specified by Anaplan Engineering and Business teams. This will include the preparation of ad hoc reports and insights as well as the design, development and ongoing maintenance of high quality “always on” reporting/ decision support capabilities in tools including PowerBI and Anaplan. As a senior member of the team you will be expected to own a functional area within the team as well as provide leadership and coaching to more junior team members. The candidate will have hands-on experience with Google and AWS Data Products, analysis tools including SQL, Python, PowerBI and Databricks as well as familiarity with Cloud Services from major providers such as AWS, GCP and Azure.
