What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Professionally designated accountant, 2-3 years of experience in a similar role (ideally in Power, Infrastructure or Mining), Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills to interpret, analyze, and present data

Nice to Have

Proficient with information systems (Workday Finance, Wdesk and FCCS is an asset), Experience with IFRS 16 leases and US GAAP is an asset

What You'll Do.

Oversees all financial accounting and reporting needs for renewable power operating facilities

Managing all financial needs of the operating facilities

Participate in process improvement projects and proactive problem solving

Perform month-end close activities

Prepare monthly facility reports and cash flow forecast

Prepare quarterly lender reports and distributions

Ensure ongoing compliance with debt agreements

Prepare quarterly reporting packs

Conduct impairment trigger assessments

Develop quarterly board materials

Present the financial results to partners

Prepare annual audited financial statements

Manage supporting documentation

Assist with year-end audit and quarterly reviews

Collaborate with Operations and FP&A team to support the annual operating budget process

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial models

Track project cost spending

Update monthly construction project cost model

Manage monthly loan drawdown package to lenders

Manage weekly withdrawal certificate of restricted project bank accounts for projects under construction

Assist with conversion of renewable facilities from constructions to operations

Manage internal and external audit requirements for renewable assets

Support audit readiness

walk-throughs and timely responses

Ensure a internal-control environment

Take on new tasks from Facility Manager and/or special projects from business partners

Working closely with senior management, operations, corporate finance, FP&A, and other functional groups; Collaborate with Operations and FP&A team; Build relationships easily and enjoy working as a team to get things done; Presenting and debating recommendations with all stakeholders at all levels
