What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of revenue accounting experience. Working knowledge of US GAAP, specifically deep familiarity with ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers). Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is a must. Proven experience building or maintaining financial forecast models, ARR waterfalls, and interpreting complex data sets. Analytical Mindset: An exceptional eye for detail combined with the ability to step back and understand the "big picture" strategic implications of financial numbers. Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently translate complex accounting and financial metrics to non-finance stakeholders.
Nice to Have
CPA or progress toward CPA is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems and subscription billing platforms (e.g. Stripe) is highly desired. Hubspot experience is a major plus.
What You'll Do.
Own the end-to-end preparation, maintenance, and analysis of the ARR waterfall model.
Maintain and continuously improve the revenue and ARR forecast models.
Deliver monthly and quarterly analytics packages detailing key SaaS metrics.
Conduct deep-dive variance analyses.
Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue close processes.
Review revenue contracts to identify complex terms and conditions that could influence revenue recognition under ASC 606.
Prepare and update detailed schedules and workpapers related to revenue accounts.
Carry out billing, revenue accruals, and other critical revenue operations tasks within the broader order-to-cash process.
Reconcile complex data between billing systems and the ERP.
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Product teams to provide operational support for new, bespoke deals.
Work closely with team leads to introduce and implement new accounting procedures for upcoming product launches, pricing updates, or sales incentive programs.
Engage in ongoing system and process enhancements, including system testing, building automation workflows, and providing feedback on scalability efforts.
Support internal controls ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and audit-ready.
Prepare documentation and schedules required to respond directly to external audit requests related to revenue accounting.
