**Job Description & Summary** Are you an audit professional ready to make a global impact on European Union-funded projects? Do you thrive in multicultural environments and want to expand your project management skills by working with teams across continents? If you answered yes, the Senior Audit Associate role, focusing on EU-funded international projects in Sofia, might be your next career move. As a Senior Associate at our Sofia office, you'll be key in global assurance assignments related to EU funded initiatives. You'll join a dedicated team serving the European Commission, engaging in diverse and challenging projects worldwide—both on-site and remotely. This role will enhance your personal and technical skills, offering exposure to various teams and cultures, deepening your expertise in external audit and assurance, and providing ongoing practical training. **Responsibilities :** * Be a crucial team member executing agreed-upon procedures, especially expenditure verifications of EU-funded projects, following protocols of grants, twinning, service and supply contracts, construction projects, delegation, and contribution agreements under PRAG and Twinning Manuals. * Document procedures methodically within a dedicated audit platform. * Work with audit teams, liaising with the European Commission, its Delegations, reporting entities, and other experts to deliver high-quality service. * Build and maintain strong client relationships. * Adapt and thrive in an international working environment. **Requirements** : * Minimum of 3 years of audit experience. * Experience in auditing EU-funded projects or audit/verification of such projects is a plus. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. * Membership in a national or international accounting/auditing body, such as ACCA, is advantageous. * Willingness to travel internationally, mainly within Europe; a valid international passport is required. * Fluent in English, with exper
