This person will play a key role in preconstruction, helping us pursue and win complex ground up projects with a strong focus on industrial and large scale commercial work. We are looking for someone who understands how to price work that actually gets built. Someone who can see a set of plans, understand the risks, and build a real strategy around it. This is a high visibility role with direct impact on the work we take on and how we grow in the region. What You’ll Do: Lead estimating efforts for ground up construction projects, with an emphasis on industrial, tilt up, and large commercial builds Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate and competitive estimates Build detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing models from conceptual through GMP stages Manage subcontractor outreach, leveling, and bid analysis Work closely with operations, project management, and leadership to align on strategy and execution Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities early in the preconstruction phase Participate in client presentations and help position Uprite as a trusted builder What You'll Bring: 7 plus years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor Strong experience with ground up construction, especially industrial projects such as tilt up warehouses, distribution centers, or large scale concrete structures Proven ability to lead estimates independently from early concept through final pricing Deep understanding of construction means and methods, especially related to structural systems and site work Strong relationships with subcontractors in the Southern California market is a plus Comfortable
