Must Have

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree from an ABET accredited university, Minimum of 10 years of Product Development and leadership experience in automotive industry, 5 years in Interiors, written and verbal communication skills, background in product design, analysis, and development required, organizational, leadership, and communication skills required, Knowledge of part capability studies, statistical analysis, and FEA required, Knowledge of CATIA V5/V6, Team Center, MS Office required, Substantial knowledge in DFMEA/PFMEA, DVP&R, DP's, CAE, & GD&T, Knowledge of Injection molding, and material properties, Knowledge of FMVSS Regulations Related to Interiors, Knowledge of Fasteners, Experience working with Product Design Office, Experience with Shainin Red X and Kepner-Tregoe Reactive Problem solving tools, Experience with Design for Sigma (DFSS) using proactive quality tools, Result oriented, energetic self-starting leader with ability to direct cross --functional teams, integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, positive attitude, growth mindset, comfortable with change, flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals

What You'll Do.

Assume responsibility for design release of Interior Cockpit System

Integrate Door Trim components/assemblies into vehicle

Collaborate with design studio and engineering teams

Develop optimal packages for interior styling

Provide design inputs to CAE team

Utilize CAE results to optimize component design

Package components efficiently and robustly using CAD

Apply program management skills to ensure supplier deliverables

Serve as main point of contact for supplier interfaces

Ensure failure avoidance tools and processes are applied

Develop and manage validation plan and test labs

Oversee supplier component DVP

Control system level testing

Analyze test results and identify adjustments

Review and approve technical content of changes

Act as coach and mentor for Interior Engineering Group

Translate Voice of the Customer needs into engineering metrics
