Must Have

College/university/professional degree in Electrical, Industrial, Process Engineering, or related work experience, 5+ years of experience as a Licensed Electrician in mission critical facilities, 8-10+ years of experience with industrial or commercial field engineering in mission critical facilities and medium and low voltage electrical infrastructures, 8-10+ years of experience developing and supporting programs in electrical safety in alignment with NFPA70E, National Electrical Code (NEC), and OSHA requirements as it relates to Data Center best practices, 8-10+ years of experience in the Control of Hazardous Energy in complex mission critical infrastructure, Demonstrated experience developing and enforcing energy safety programs in a data center or equivalent high-risk setting, experience with the operation and maintenance of building MEP systems, Established understanding of electrical theory and practical application via your maintenance & operation of critical electrical equipment, Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation, Expert in reading and understanding of electrical single line drawings, Practical experience with building management systems and automation, controls & frameworks, Ability to operate with independence, judgment, and accountability in high-stakes operational settings

Role Summary The Senior Energy Marshal is responsible for overseeing and enforcing the energy control program at the data center construction project in Temple TX. This role spans the entire facility lifecycle—from design review through construction, commissioning and into ongoing operations—ensuring safe energization, methodical change management, and alignment with organizational standards for operational discipline. While not a utilities design or delivery role, this position acts as a critical check-and-balance within the operations team, holding signatory authority over energy-related changes and system-level work execution. Travel: Ability to travel up to (15%) for company gatherings or critical meetings Location: Temple, TX (on-site) Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 (offers bonus) Essential Responsibilities Energy Governance & Safety Oversight - Own the policies, standards, and approval processes for energy system safety and energization procedures across all sites - Act as a signatory authority for energy-related Method of Procedures (MOPs), Permits supporting the safe execution of maintenance, testing, and commissioning work. - Collaborate with site and engineering teams to evaluate and approve energy risk mitigation strategies, including lock-out/tag-out protocols, sequence of operations
